Administrative Assistant - Ottawa/Montreal

Our Corporate Services team is growing and we have an Administrative Assistant opportunity!

The First Nations Financial Management Board (the “FMB”) has a unique opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to make a positive impact in growing our organization. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team in a great working environment and make a difference!

We are looking to fill this position in our Montreal and Ottawa offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for our office, the executive team and corporate office as required
  • Manage all administration associated with client funding agreements
  • Courteously receive and screen all in-bound calls, e-mails and visitors
  • Review, evaluate and distribute all outgoing mail
  • Assist with report and presentation preparation
  • Maintain a professional image and demeanor with all employees and visitors at all times
  • Maintain and monitor office supply inventory levels and place orders as required
  • Prepare travel arrangements as necessary
  • Other relevant administrative duties

Qualifications:

  • A relevant post-secondary education
  • 3-5 years of administrative experience
  • Previous experience working as an EA at a professional advisory accounting or legal firm preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and possess a Microsoft Office specialist certificate
  • Demonstrated financial literacy
  • Well-developed communication abilities and previous experience interacting directly with clients
  • Strong graphic design and/or presentation software formatting skills
