"Taking Control of Our Destiny"
Date: November 14 – 16, 2023
Location: Hilton Lac-Leamy, Gatineau, QC
Registration Deadline: October 1, 2023 or once full
We acknowledge this land is the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg people.
We invite you to join us for this year's highly anticipated event with a theme that embodies the spirit of empowerment and determination – "Taking Control of Our Destiny". This theme serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative journey we are embarking upon, where we seize the reins of our own future and shape our destinies according to our needs and aspirations.
The conference will serve as a platform to highlight First Nation success stories, share updates from the FMA institutions, along with any proposed updates on the optional FMA legislative framework, and discuss emerging priorities arising from our collective work. The event promises inspiring keynote addresses, breakout rooms for conversations and engagement, and surveys to gather valuable input. We encourage active participation from all attendees to enrich the discussions and shape the future of First Nation financial management, governance, and infrastructure development.
To ensure a productive and stress-free experience, we are pleased to inform you that complimentary accommodations and meals during the event will be provided to all registered attendees. Furthermore, travel reimbursement of up to $1,000 will be available to two participants per Nation. If a Nation has additional associates that would like to attend, they will be added to a wait list until space opens. Please note that space is limited, and registration is required to secure your place at the conference.
To register for the conference, kindly visit fnleadingtheway.com and complete the registration form. Please note that overall participation is limited and costs and accommodations are limited to two participants from each First Nation.
