Without these voices, history would missing key perspectives necessary to move forward.
Vision Quest is a unique and timely documentary, telling the history of the Indigenous peoples of Canada by Indigenous people, through Indigenous perspectives. It also offers a pathway of growth and self-sufficiency by leveraging modern economic tools through legislation outside the Indian Act.
Produced by the First Nations Financial Management Board, this film highlights how First Nations were systematically excluded from the economy over time, but now have worked hard to create success stories in many communities across the country. Specifically, the film showcases stories of First Nations that have used the First Nations Fiscal Management Act (FMA) to access long term affordable capital to promote social and economic development.
