Our Capacity Development team is growing and we have Manager of Capacity Development Content opportunity!

The First Nations Financial Management Board (the “FMB”) has a unique opportunity for an exceptional and motivated senior level designated professional with outstanding communication skills. This is an opportunity to join a great team and to make a difference!

We are looking to fill role in our West Vancouver office.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Director of Capacity Development and Intervention.
  • Work closely with First Nation government clients and the FMB team to develop content for the Capacity Development team’s workshops, tools, templates, webinars and courses related to financial administration and the FMB’s Financial Management System (FMS) Certification process.
  • Manage and update all Capacity Development content to support the FMB’s Standards in all publications, social media and the website.
  • Provide training to the Capacity Development team and the FMB’s clients related to tools and templates for FMS Certification.

Qualifications:

  • An accounting or internal control designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA or CIA) and a post-secondary degree.
  • Post- secondary (undergraduate) degree required with a specialization in First Nations Curriculum Concentration preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience planning and conducting internal or external audits of internal control over financial reporting or similar areas.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a managerial position with employee and contractor oversight responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Indigenous governments and organizations and related policies, procedures and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as well-developed presentation and training skills.
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel occasionally and outside of regular business hours when necessary.
  • Bilingualism preferred (English and French).
