Board of Directors

The First Nations Financial Management Board (FMB) Board of Directors is accountable to the Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. Its role is to ensure that the FMB fulfills our legal and regulatory mandate.

  • Proud member of the Squamish Nation in North Vancouver, British Columbia
  • Served eight years on the Squamish Council, working with the Nation to better manage its land and finances and develop its economy
  • Supported the Squamish Nation in developing acts that give it more control over its finances, including: First Nations Land Management Act, First Nations Fiscal Management Act, First Nations Commercial and Industrial Development Act, and First Nations Oil and Gas and Moneys Management Act
  • Fellow of the CGA Association of Canada
  • Member of the AFOA
  • Named one of 100 difference-making CGAs by the CGA Association of Canada
  • Former advisor and go-between for First Nations in Western Canada
  • Former board member of CMHC, Partnerships BC, Fortis BC, and the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology, as well as chairing or serving on board Audit Committees
