Website Privacy Policy

Your Privacy is Important to the FMB

Any personal information we collect is protected by the Privacy Act. The Act lets you see personal information held by the government. It also helps to keep that information private.

On-Line Privacy Policy

We do not collect any personal information about you when you visit our website unless you allow us to. For example, you may give us your email address or other contact information so we can get back to you. We protect your privacy and personal information at all times. It will only be used to respond to your comments or questions.

IP Address

IP addresses let computers communicate with each other over the internet. We use software programs to see how many people visit our website and protect against access without permission. These programs record the IP addresses of computers that visit this site. We do not link IP addresses to individual users. The only time we might do this is if someone tries to hack or damage the website.

Cookies

A cookie is a very small text file that a website you visit sends to your computer. It lets that website keep track of how you use the site, without making your identity known to others. Cookies do not contain any personal information, such as your name or contact details. You can turn off cookies in your internet browser, eg. Chrome, Safari or Firefox. Some website features may not work if you do that. We only use cookies to find out which parts of our website are the most popular and to help us create the best website possible.

Use of Your Personal Information

The FMB will only use your personal information with your permission to:

  • answer a question, respond to a comment, or do something you ask us to do.
  • help us respond in full to your requests, eg. for services.
  • protect the FMB from illegal activities.

If we want to use your information for anything else, we will ask for your permission.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information

The FMB does not give your personal information out, except as allowed by the Privacy Act.

Outside Links

The website contains links to other sites. The FMB is not responsible for anything to do with those websites, including privacy.
